David Sedaris to speak well of my One Day (2000) is a New York Times bestselling collection of humor, autobiographical essays. Sedaris is dominated by art, self-deprecating humor. His radio debut was NPR's Morning Edition in 1992, where he read his hilarious and now famous essay, "Santa Land Diaries", the tales of his experiences served as a major department store Santa's elf. Shortly after his performance in NPR, has been awarded two books dealing with major publisher and has since written several other best-seller, and often carry out work on the stage. A beautiful day to talk to my Sedaris is the third book.

The 28 essays in me speaking Pretty One Day by Sedaris cover some more awkward school experiences growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina. For example, "Go Carolina" in trying to Sedaris relates to his first meeting with the school speech therapist who tried to cure Lisp writer. Sedaris found it strange that although there were other students who were so humiliated by being called out of class for special education to get free speech problems, he never seemed to be popular or cute student.

Stories continues the writer moves in different universities, trying to decide what to do with his life. Most of these stories to make fun of the writer, but Sedaris is not afraid to also set the members of his family in the spotlight. In an essay titled "You can not kill the rooster," Sedaris collects his younger brother, Paul, and Paul often uses foul language. Paul, born at the end of a row of six children, has raised more relaxed parents. In this particular essay, Sedaris points that Paul had done much more than the older children were.

When Sedaris moved to Paris with her boyfriend, Hugh, took with him his ability to find humor in humiliating situations. In the title essay, "Me Talk Pretty One Day", Sedaris is trying to become more proficient in French, but is hampered by the teacher. In "The City of Lights in the dark," Sedaris admits that he spends much of his time in Paris watching American movies dubbed.

This collection was so popular that the director Wayne Wang has made an offer to adapt the text to film. Sedaris accepted for a while, then changed his mind. I was worried about how his family would be represented and supported by the box.
